The security service of Ukraine revealed another FSB agent who carried out attacks against the Russian Federation in Khmelnytskyi. The counterintelligence of the security service detained in Khmelnytskyi an FSB agent who prepared coordinates for a new series of rocket attacks by terrorists in the western region of Ukraine. As the investigation revealed, the attacker launched coordinated enemy attacks on military units, defense plants and postal terminals. To prepare for the shelling, the gunner walked around the regional center and its surroundings, where he recorded the location of potential "targets" on camera under the guise of phone calls. SBU employees caught him red-handed when the agent conducted a patrol near one of the strategically important facilities. It was determined that the agent's tasks were carried out by a local unemployed person recruited by the FSB, who had previously been convicted of drug possession. He came to the attention of the Russian special services while looking for "easy" profits in Telegram channels. After the recruitment, the agent monitored geographical locations of factories of the defense-industrial complex and the permanent bases of the Ukrainian soldiers. Then he "moved on" to establishing the coordinates of logistics centers and sorting terminals of the postal operators. The attacker aggregated the data collected on the smartphone in the form of object markers on electronic maps. During the search, a mobile gadget with evidence of working for the enemy was found in the detainee's possession. Security Service investigators informed the agent of the suspicion according to Part 2 of A. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law). The perpetrator is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property. Complex measures were carried out by SBU employees in the Khmelnytsky region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
