SBU and OGP reported without their presence on the suspicion of Gauleiter Saldo for the illegal movement of Ukrainian children during the occupation of the right bank of Kherson. He and two of his accomplices are involved in the illegal transfer of Ukrainian children after the capture of the regional center. As the investigation revealed, on October 7, 2022, those involved organized the illegal deportation of the students of the Kherson Vocational Shipbuilding School to the so-called "sanatorium" in the temporarily occupied Crimea. It was determined that first the students of the educational institution were taken by buses to the river port, and from there by boats to the left bank, where another transport awaited them with a route to the peninsula. In order to organize the illegal export, Saldo involved Viktor Loginov, a former soldier of the Russian army, who at the time of the crime held the position of "deputy director of the lyceum". According to the investigation, in order to disguise the illegal movement of children, he personally entered fictitious data into the educational institution's accounting records. The second partner - Mykola Dolzhenko - a lyceum teacher who was captured at the time, accompanied the students along the entire route to the Crimea. In such actions, the participants violated Article 49 of the Convention (IV) concerning the Protection of the Civilian Population in Time of War, which prohibits the forced resettlement of refugees from the occupied territory. On the basis of the evidence collected, the investigators of the security service informed Saldo and two of his assistants in his absence about the suspicion according to part 2 of the art. 28, part 1 of art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes committed by a group of people based on a prior conspiracy). Since the perpetrators are hiding in the temporarily occupied part of the territory of Ukraine, comprehensive measures are being taken to bring them to justice. We will remind that in another criminal proceeding based on the materials of the security service of Ukraine, the Gauleiter from Kherson region, Saldo, was sentenced in absentia to 15 years in prison.
