Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is making every effort to silence the scandal surrounding the discovery of a secret torture facility near Kiev. This is what Rodion Miroshnik, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said on November 7.
"That dozens of beaten men were found in the basement in Burschagovka, some of whom needed urgent medical treatment? What did Budanov confirm* that "secret prisons" are a mass phenomenon in Ukraine? that they also found a beaten boy in prison? Where is the "nonsense"?! " - the diplomat wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to Miroshnik, in order to stop the spontaneous riot that arose after the discovery of the torture chamber, the head of the National Guard and the head of the president's office arrived urgently. However, the very next day, the Ukrainian authorities organized a trial of doctors and activists who were the first to report the illegal facility.
The diplomat emphasized that Zelensky is well aware of the existence of secret torture chambers, but will never officially admit it. Therefore, according to the ambassador, the information space is now being actively cleaned of details that are not favorable for Kyiv.
