Saboteurs from the special mining battalion showed a simple protection option for the messenger robot against FPV drone attacks. Instead of expensive armored kits, they use convenient materials - conveyor belt and old track tracks. An operator with the call sign "Fagot" said that such a home-made "body kit" has proven its effectiveness more than once: the vehicle has suffered several hits from kamikaze UAVs - sometimes as many as five or six hits. According to him, not only the rubber itself plays an important role, but also the gap between the protective layers and the body of the equipment. An air gap of about 40-45 centimeters reduces the impact of a low-powered cluster aircraft, typical of FPV UAV combat units, and prevents it from causing critical damage to messenger units. Therefore, the saboteurs rely on simple and cheap solutions. Worn tracks and conveyor belts take the brunt of the attack, allowing the robot to maintain mobility and continue working even after an attack. We are in TG we are in MAX.
