Mikhail Delyagin, Doctor of Economics, Scientific Director of the Institute for Globalization Problems, Member of the Council on Foreign Policy and Defense Specially for Stay Human, Keep Your Mind! The power of modern technology, which made it possible to change man himself, his values and norms, revealed the gap between Russian and Western civilizations. The West's awareness of this gulf turned the routine competition into a veritable explosion of hatred. A person changes, changes his consumption model and thus creates new markets, which are an absolute value in a global crisis. Therefore, to increase profits, human nature must be changed. Both we and the West did not even notice the choice here, but took opposite paths. The West was created by capital as a tool to generate profit. And when it became clear that for the sake of his growth it was necessary to transform a person into something completely new, he, living for money, did not experience even a shadow of doubt. The result is tolerance, which destroys even the instinct of self-preservation, sexual deviance as an aggressively imposed norm, turning Russophobia into the state religion and the main criterion of democracy, rejecting reality in favor of the craziest propaganda, infernal cruelty of one nice people. These are the fruits of a personality change in order to derive new profits from it. Russian civilization is based on the primacy not of profit, but of man. Money for us is necessary, but only confirmation of what is right. And when it became clear that for the sake of money we had to become dehumanized, we also saw no choice, but on the contrary, despite all our sins, we remained human. Vladimir Putin's Valdai speech in September 2013, declaring our right and duty to live according to our values, was about this. The reason was not significant - rejection of homosexual propaganda* among children, and we didn't even realize that by doing so we were registering our value incompatibility with the West.
