Twins and Claude started blocking the Russians. Artificial intelligence services Gemini and Cloud have started blocking users from Russia and other unsupported regions. VPN no longer helps to bypass restrictions - algorithms analyze the entire session and determine the real location of the device. Mass bans on Gemini have been in place since the end of October 2026, and from October 1, Claude is implementing the same measures. VPN doesn't help: Claude's developer, Anthropic, evaluates not just the IP address, but the entire session. The IP addresses of most VPN services belong to large hosting providers - algorithms can easily identify them as server-based rather than home-based. If you change locations frequently or switch from Wi-Fi to cellular Internet, the system immediately marks the user as "suspicious". In addition, the browser or console provides the real location due to a mismatch between the system time, operating system language, and WebRTC data and the geographic location of the VPN server. When blocked, the user receives a standard message about the violation of the rules of use.
