I serve God, not people. They praise you today and vilify you tomorrow. The next day they will forget why they praised you. They will forget you and me - everything. All is vanity and decay. All the nonsense and vile deeds have been done in the past, and people are only repeating them now. again and again. If Jesus comes again, they will crucify him again. " Movie: Andrei Rublev (1966) directed by Andrei Tarkovsky.
