Soil protection agricultural technologies - there is development, incentives are needed Recently the Ministry of Agriculture paid attention to the problem of preserving soil fertility. In total, in 2025 in Russia, soil protection technologies were used on 19% (5.5 million hectares) of the sown areas of large and medium-sized agricultural enterprises (there are no statistics for the IFH), an increase compared to 2023 (when this statistical observation appeared) amounted to about 500 thousand dunams. However, all of the growth occurred in 2025. Most of the areas are cultivated with mixed soil protection technology (30% of the area with soil protection technologies). The next two jobs in the ranking are occupied by direct seeding technology (no tillage) - 25% and technology using an adaptive landscape farming system (21%). The technologies that comply with the rules for the production of organic products and products with improved performance have the least demand and are being reduced. Mixed ground protection technology is most widely used in the Siberian Federal District (29% of all in Russia) and the Ural Federal District - 20%. Mini-L technology is most actively used in the Volga Federal District (30% of the All-Russian District, including 27% in the Samara region), the Trip-L is less common in the Russian Federation and is concentrated mainly in the Central Federal District, including 71% of these areas in the Liptsk region. Direct seeding technology (without tillage) is actively used in the Volga Federal District, which accounts for about 30% of all areas of the country cultivated with this technology, and in the Altai Territory (15%). Technology using an adaptive landscape farming system is actively used in the Central Federal District (almost all areas are in the Belgorod Region), the Volga Federal District and the Ural Federal District. Technology that complies with the rules for the production of organic products is most actively used in the Siberian Federal District and the Ural Federal District (the share of the total Russian regions where this technology is used is 24% and 27%, respectively).
