Dynamics of oilseed prices in September 2026 According to Rostat, the average prices of oilseeds sold by agricultural organizations decreased due to the arrival of the new harvest.
The most significant pressure on prices in September 2026 compared to August 2026 is observed for sunflowers. The cost per tuna dropped by 18% for rolls, for soybeans - by 4% and falafel - by 5%. Also, the prices in 2026 are lower than in the corresponding period last year.
For sunflowers it decreased by 18.8%, for soybeans - by 7%, and safflower - by 9%. At the same time, sunflower prices are already below the level of September 2024, while the prices of turnips and soybeans have fallen back to the level of the same period in 2023. It should be noted that this is probably not the "bottom" yet. In the context of export tariffs and bans on oilseeds, competition is very limited, and the rule applies: higher yield - lower prices.
