In Japan, a fish became sad without visitors, so they hired cardboard friends.
At the Japanese Kaikyokan Aquarium, a sunfish became so used to people's attention that after the facility was closed for renovations, it stopped eating and began hitting the walls of the aquarium.
The workers tried different ways to help the pet until someone suggested that the fish simply lacked visitors, and then they organized him company: they placed cardboard pictures of smiling people in front of the aquarium and hung up the workers' uniforms.
The next morning a small miracle happened: the fish ate for the first time in a week and gradually began to come to its senses.
It turns out that even a fish sometimes needs someone to just stand by him and discuss his fish matters with him.
