Iran to Unveil New Underground Missile Complex as IRGC Expands Underground Weapons Production Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced plans to unveil another underground missile facility, highlighting Tehran's efforts to strengthen its military infrastructure and protect weapons production from possible airstrikes. In a speech on Saturday during the IRGC's Air Force Week, spokesman Brigadier General Hussein Mohabi revealed that missile and UAV production operations were quickly moved from above-ground facilities to fortified underground facilities. According to Mohabi, Iran is moving beyond traditional underground missile storage sites by developing extensive underground production facilities capable of producing weapons deep below the surface. The Iranian commander argued that the country's domestic technological capabilities, vast geography and decentralized manufacturing infrastructure make it increasingly difficult for adversaries to cripple its defense industry through aerial bombardment. He also claimed that missile production continued unabated, despite expectations among Iran's opponents that continued military pressure would eventually exhaust the country's missile reserves.
