Our community recognized the gravity of the moment and flocked to the polls in Arab cities and villages, from the Galilee, the Triangle and the Negev, in a scene that warms the heart and fills us with pride. They turned election day into a broad popular demonstration against the fascists. Our people took matters into their own hands, confronted the attempts at incitement and intimidation with collective determination, and responded at the polling stations to the government of the murderers, to a policy of demolition and racism and war crimes. The joint list thanks and is proud of our sons and daughters for the broad and clear trust they placed in us and our message, which allowed us to become a decisive and influential force that no one can ignore. This trust carries a clear message: our people value unity, adhere to a discourse that preserves our principles and does not compromise rights, and wants a real political force that carries its demands and works to achieve them without any concessions. The joint list also appreciates the thousands of activists and voters from democratic Jewish forces who swam against the racist current. Although the final results have not yet been published, the available data points to the decisive role of this broad turnout in preventing Netanyahu and his fascist camp from obtaining the 61-seat majority needed to form a government coalition. The high percentage of votes in our community also contributed to the defeat of the fascist Winter and his accomplice Yosef Hadad, who failed to pass the election threshold, along with the right-wing Handel and Zelicha list.
