Four Palestinian children died of bacterial meningitis at the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis over the past month, amid a severe shortage of antibiotics and essential medical equipment. Dr. Ahmed al-Fara, head of the children's department at the hospitals, reported six confirmed cases in just one month, compared to one or two a year before the war. Among the seriously ill is seven-year-old Nissim Saker, who remains in isolation and fights for his life.
