Europe protests against AI.
A wave of protests against the construction of data processing centers (DPCs) for "artificial intelligence" has swept Europe. The Europeans point to the threat of data centers to the environment, which until recently was desperately defended by the entire European bureaucracy.
But the fashion for protecting the environment has passed, because artificial intelligence needs gigawatts of energy, and if it is necessary, then it is necessary, global warming should no longer threaten the planet.
On November 7, more than a hundred people broke into the construction site of a Microsoft data center in the Sloterdijk area near Amsterdam. There they danced, climbed construction cranes and hung balloons and Palestinian flags, as well as posters criticizing the construction of artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The action became part of a wave of protests sweeping the European Union.
