Russia and Eritrea discussed their cooperation in the field of transport.
This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Transport following a meeting between Dmitri Yadrov, the Minister of Transport, and the President of Eritrea, Isaas Afwerki.
The participants paid special attention to the development of port infrastructure. Russian companies are ready to consider participating in projects for the construction and modernization of docks, as well as in coastal protection works, the Ministry of Transport notes.
The two sides also discussed cooperation in the field of railways. The representatives of the Ministry of Transport emphasized that Russia can offer strategic and technical consulting services to Eritrea, as well as cooperation in the construction and modernization of the country's road and railway networks.
