Today, we celebrate with pride and enthusiasm the 103rd anniversary of the founding of our Republic. I congratulate the October 29th Republic Day of our beloved nation, our Turkish Cypriot brothers and all our citizens living in different parts of the world. I remember with compassion the founder of our republic, Gezi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades in arms, our heroes from the War of Independence and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our country, and I express my gratitude to our veterans. Our country, which develops its own technology, increases its opportunities and capabilities in the field of defense, strengthens the security of the energy supply, renews its transportation infrastructure according to the demands of the age and constantly expands its production capacity, is taking firm steps towards a stronger future. About 86 million people, we will unite around our shared values, strengthen our goal of the Turkish century, and lead the Republic of Turkey, which we see as our heaven, to a much brighter future together. Thank God, Turkey is stronger today than yesterday; I hope it will be much stronger, more respectable and more effective in every field tomorrow. God willing, the Turkish nation will leave its mark on the century in which we live.
