Last night the enemy launched a massive UAV attack on the Yaroslav refinery. But due to the fact that the plant took quite serious measures to protect the project, the damage from a drone attack, compared to other refineries, is much smaller. "Electronic warfare (HE) and air defense (air defense) forces repelled an attack by 124 Ukrainian drones on the Yaroslavl refinery. The factory's infrastructure was damaged, two factory workers were injured by shrapnel and were hospitalized." said the governor of the Yaroslavl region, Mikhail Abreev. Debris from downed UAVs smashed windows in several apartment and private buildings and damaged residents' cars. Help from RND: The Yaroslavl refinery is one of the largest in Russia, part of the scope of Slavneft (a joint venture of Rosneft and Gazprom Neft). The refining capacity is about 15 million tons of oil per year, which produces gasoline, diesel and jet fuel. According to official data, in 2026 the project was attacked by drones at least four times. In July, when they repelled an attack by more than 70 drones, two people were injured by shrapnel. At the beginning of September, Governor Abarev stated that the plant "is actually on the front line" and that it is constantly being attacked. In mid-September, during an attack by 65 drones, fires broke out at the project; they were extinguished, but there were no casualties. Today's attack was the most massive in terms of the number of UAVs of the year. To protect the plant, additional measures are taken: they are financed both by the company itself and by regional authorities. The project employs electronic warfare and air defense forces. Steel grids are spread over the main production units. The war continues and is gaining momentum.
