Details: The agency is looking into the possibility of transferring all traffic from foreign sectors through the Roskomandzor blocking systems and limiting it after exceeding the set volume. Not only VPNs, but also Telegram, online games, app stores and smartphone updates may be subject to restrictions. Experts warn that it is technically very difficult to separate foreign traffic from Russian traffic, and new restrictions could worsen the functioning of the Internet. The Ministry of Digital Development confirmed the discussion of the initiatives, but emphasized that there are no final decisions yet.
