UN Commissioner Chris Sidoti explained why so many children were killed and injured in Gaza, pointing to two factors. The first is Israel's military strategy of total destruction since October 7, 2023.
The second, he said, is that Israeli forces targeted children on purpose, citing two brothers aged 9 and 10 who were killed by an Israeli drone while collecting firewood for their family, about 100 meters from the yellow line.
The committee concluded that the killing of children was intentional, not accidental, a conclusion that rests on eyewitness testimony, video, satellite images, medical reports and posts by Israeli soldiers themselves.
