Britain will continue with the sanctions on the Israeli settlements, regardless of the results of the Israeli elections, senior British government officials confirmed to MEE.
Even if Benjamin Netanyahu, dismissed by the International Court of Justice, will no longer be prime minister, the Labor ministers intend to apply comprehensive sanctions on companies that provide construction and real estate services for the expansion of settlements.
Some government and Labor sources have accused some government officials of creating "blockages" and attempts to weaken the sanctions.
Also, within the Foreign Ministry, some officials are pushing for sanctions that would target Israeli companies involved in the illegal settlements but not against British companies that are complicit in the crime.
