According to reports, sales of Irish author Sally Rooney's books jumped 291% in a week to 4,531 copies, after British publisher Faber announced it would stop supplying her books to British stores. The move followed legal restrictions related to Ronis' stated intention to donate the proceeds of her work to Palestine Action, which the British government designated as a terrorist organization in July 2025. Faber said the legislation prevents her from passing on UK sales money to Rooney, while her books will remain available in other markets.
