Hamas spokesman, Hazem Kassem: The leadership of the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah continues to block the holding of elections in Palestine, and is working to boycott the will of the Palestinian people and hijack its institutions. - When the leadership of the authority does not allow elections to be held for more than twenty years, the legitimacy of the institutions eroded, the lack of supervision over them and the nepotism that turned them into party institutions spread. - Holding elections will remain a right for our Palestinian people, and the PA must stop manipulating it for fear of losing the elections. The will of the people must remain supreme, and their interests are the focus of the work of all political forces.
