The Ministry of Social Development in Gaza:

▪️ We warn against the escalating humanitarian disaster that threatens hundreds of thousands of displaced families, in light of the deteriorating conditions of the shelter and the lack of basic supplies.

▪️ We confirm that approximately 1.2 to 1.5 million IDPs live in overcrowded and open camps that lack the basic necessities of life.

▪️ UN data indicates that approximately 70% to 80% of the tents and shelters are damaged and destroyed, while there is an urgent need for 200,000 tents and 300,000 weather-resistant plastic sunshades.

▪️ We call on the international community and humanitarian organizations to take immediate action and lift the ban on the entry of shelter and aid shipments, to remedy the situation before a humanitarian tragedy occurs.
