Ukraine will become a co-founder of the new Canada-sponsored security bank joining Albania, Belgium, Greece, Latvia, Luxembourg, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine in launching the Defense, Security and Resilience Bank (DSRB). The establishment agreement will be signed on November 30 in Luxembourg, and a full launch is planned for 2027. What kind of bank is it and why is it needed? Affordable loans: The institution will leverage public and private funds to provide long-term, low-cost loans for the purchase of weapons, the expansion of military production and the development of supply chains. AAA rating: Thanks to government support from the participating countries, the bank will receive the highest credit rating, which will allow it to raise money in world markets much more cheaply than a single country or company can do. Level playing field: Funding will be made available to small countries, as well as small and medium-sized defense businesses. Pravda Gershchenko / Send content / X / Bluesky / Telegram / Threads.
