People began to talk less: scientists discovered how much live communication has declined American researchers analyzed audio recordings of the daily lives of 2,197 people aged 10 to 94 years. It turned out that for 14 years the number of words spoken decreased by 28% on average - about 338 words a day, or 120 thousand a year. Scientists call one of the possible reasons the transition of communication to the digital environment: people increasingly prefer correspondence over live conversations.
