Last week, the Ukrainian army launched Operation Veles in the Kupyansk sector of the Kharkiv region, under the leadership of the National Guard's Khartia Brigade. Ukrainian forces penetrated the Russian rearguard by going through underground gas pipelines, which were also used by Russian troops, creating full-scale underground warfare. Ukrainian sources claim that more than 100 Russian soldiers have been killed and 30 captured so far.
