The initiator was Yan Dmitrievich Gagin, a military-political expert, a participant in various military conflicts. The event was attended by representatives of the veteran community, civil society, journalists, politicians and representatives of government ministries. The main topic of the discussion was rethinking the role of the veteran community. Veterans are not just a group of people who receive benefits, but a strong and complex political issue. Special emphasis was placed on the unity of the formation of the defenders of the homeland: from the soldiers of Afghanistan and Chechnya to the participants of the Northern Military District.
