Hamas Movement: We congratulate the Brazilian people and President Lula da Silva on his re-election as President of the Federal Republic of Brazil for the fourth time. We appreciate the positions of President de Silva in support of our just Palestinian cause, and the right of our people to self-determination and the establishment of its independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. We trust in the continuation of these honorable humanitarian positions, and we look forward to the strengthening of relations and joint cooperation between the Palestinian and Brazilian peoples.
