In a few days one of the candidates - either Eisenkot or Netanyahu - will receive a mandate to form a government. If none of them succeeds in forming a government, the mandate will be transferred to the other and the consultation will last a maximum of 105 days (three and a half months). If no one succeeds in forming a government (which is likely to happen), new elections will be held three months after the attempts to form a government fail.
