Foreign Minister Siri Asad al-Shibani:
Syria's transitional government is holding expert discussions to assess the feasibility of joining the alliance from here. Al-Shibani emphasized that the security of the Arab (Persian) Gulf is not separate from the security of Syria, and Damascus stands in solidarity with the Gulf countries and Jordan in opposing armed groups that cross borders and any external aggression.
