The Pentagon is preparing all major US military bases to operate for at least 90 days without electricity, fuel, water or outside supplies, anticipating a large-scale war that could cripple power grids, disrupt global supply chains and threaten critical infrastructure on US soil, Fox News reported. The plans include portable nuclear reactors, large-capacity energy storage systems, and microgrids capable of completely disconnecting sites from the civilian power grid.
