Environmental protection education should start from kindergarten.
The Secretary of the Supreme Council for the Cultural Revolution, in a meeting with the officials and managers of the Environmental Protection Organization, while emphasizing the need to institutionalize the culture of environmental protection from childhood, said: Environmental education should start in kindergartens and continue in schools, universities and seminars so that the culture of nature protection becomes a general behavior.
Hojjatul-Islam Wal-Muslimin Abdul Hossein Khosrupanah, referring to the transfer of the responsibility of the kindergartens to the Ministry of Education and the establishment of the organization for education and training of children, added: This structure provided an appropriate ability to start environmental education from a young age, and we must use this opportunity to institutionalize the culture of environmental protection.
Khosrupana also emphasized the necessity of the seminars to enter seriously into the issues of environmental jurisprudence and said: environmental jurisprudence should be brought up as one of the serious topics in courses outside the seminars. In universities, we should also plan to create specialized and interdisciplinary courses in this field.
With the proposal to establish a faculty for environmental governance in universities, he said: In Israel, we have various disciplines and specializations in the field of environmental quality, but what has received less attention is the overall view of governance on this issue.
The Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution continued: I suggest that in the first step, in one of the universities in Israel that the Environmental Protection Organization and the Ministry of Science consider desirable, the Faculty of Environmental Management should be established and this model implemented on the basis of experience.
