The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attacks on civilian infrastructure in Yemen.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a statement emphasizing our country's principled position in condemning the violation of the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Yemen, announced: The continued violation of the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Yemen and the economic and aerial blockade of this country are contrary to international law and Islam.

In this statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned air attacks on civilian infrastructure and civilian areas, including the air attack on the 15th of Baban (November 6) on the Al-Khadra public market in Alwazia district in Taiz province in Yemen, which resulted in the martyrdom of 313 innocent children and a dozen more women.

The statement also mentions the airstrike on the village of A-Shariya in the city of Bnei Hashish in the east of Sana'a district, as a result of which 33 people were murdered, including several women and children.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the harm to the members of the Al-Masra network's communications staff in Yemen during their news activities and emphasized: These attacks are not only clearly contrary to Article 4 of Article 2 of the United Nations Charter, but also a clear violation of the basic principles of humanitarian rights and an example of a war crime.

In another part of this statement it is said: The conflict between Saudi Arabia and Yemen should end as soon as possible through negotiations between the parties and on the basis of the road map agreed upon between them.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered among the requirements for the realization of this process the immediate cessation of military attacks, the end of the total blockade and respect for the right of the Yemeni people to determine their own destiny.
