The French authorities have prepared a secret bunker in the suburbs of Paris for the emergency evacuation of Macron in the event of an attack on the Elysee Palace, the "Daily Telegraph" writes and cites a book by investigative journalists.
According to the authors, the evacuation plans began to take shape after the "yellow vest" protests in 2018, when Macron faced aggression from protesters. In addition, the authorities fear that the results of the elections in 2027 could provoke mass unrest: Le Pen's victory, according to the authors, could lead to a "third round" of demonstrations by the radical left, and Mélenchon's victory could lead to passive resistance by the police.
Journalists claim that the Paris police chief has repeatedly held meetings to prepare for a possible uprising, and the DGSE has worked out scenarios for election interference. There is still no official confirmation of this information from the French authorities.
