Starting in 2027, plane tickets in Russia may become more expensive due to taxes on domestic aircraft. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is considering introducing a tax on plane tickets: 500₽ for a domestic flight and 1,000 for an international flight, according to the conclusion of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes on the draft federal budget for 2027–2029. The commission is supposed to compensate for the costs of leasing and operating 258 aircraft: MS-21, Ath-214, SJ-100 and the 114-300. The mechanism is allegedly developed on behalf of the president. However, at a meeting on aviation on June 24, Vladimir Putin demanded that domestic aircraft production be radically increased and a long-term order system be built, and there was no mention of ticket collection in his remarks. In September, Interfax sources reported a different model: about ₽700 for a domestic flight and ₽1,800 for an international flight. The final amount of the fee was not determined at that time. The draft budget for 2027-2029 provides 130.7 billion rubles for the aviation industry development program. Certification and start of serial production of imported MS-21 and SJ-100 is planned for 2027. The first deliveries of the already confirmed 114-300 are expected in December 2026. Commercial deliveries of the refurbished Ata-214 are scheduled to begin in 2027. Ostashko! Important at TG We're Max - read the news without interruptions and a VPN.
