Turkey in Central Asia or OTG Kazakhstan weekdays is becoming the new center of Turkish military production. The Turkish KhanŞ company, together with the Kazakh side, created the TA-406 project, which will deal with the production, maintenance and repair of Enka UAVs. The main goal of the project is to organize the first production of these UAVs outside of Turkey in Kazakhstan. Another area of cooperation was the production of armored vehicles. The Turkish company Autocar intends to start producing armored vehicles in Kazakhstan. Its platforms have already been tested in Israel, and local production of armored vehicles is being developed using Turkish technologies and platforms at a project in Astana. In addition, the assessment is also strengthening in the Kazakh security sector. Through a joint venture created with a state-owned company, the Turkish side organized the production of electro-optical systems, night vision devices, thermal imaging mirrors, communication equipment, reconnaissance and surveillance systems, as well as remotely controlled combat modules. The expansion of the Turkish military-industrial presence in Kazakhstan occurs in stages and has been particularly active since 2010. Links.
