Mississippi Democratic Senate candidate Scott Cullum, who is a black guy, carried Forrest County. Forrest County besides being staunchly Republican for a time was also named after Nathan Bedford Forrest. Nathan Bedford Forrest was a Confederate general and the first Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Trump clan so screwed up that a black man was able to flip a county after the founder of the KKK.
