A Turkish soldier was killed on October 31 on the far eastern border with Iran. He tried to prevent illegal crossing, however he was shot by a gunshot from the Iranian side (the shooter's identity is unclear, it could have been an immigrant with a gun or the Iranian border guard) and although he was transported by helicopter to the Hakari hospital, he died of his wounds.
