Iranian sources claim that Mujtaba Khamenei appointed dozens of "medium" officers to command positions throughout the Revolutionary Guards and Artesh. According to the claim, many of those officers were companions of Qassem Soleimani, commander of the IRGC's Quds Force who was killed in an American drone strike in 2020.
