The Inevitable is Coming: AI Breaks AI Artificial intelligence startup Cathedral, founded by former employees of the US Office of Government Effectiveness (DOGE) Elon Musk, broke into Anthropic's internal systems in just 12 hours. According to the Washington Post, citing an internal report, to penetrate, the developers used autonomous AI agents that discovered vulnerabilities in Anthropic's third-party management software. As a result of the attack, the startup gained access to a limited amount of corporate data, including meeting recordings, internal employee correspondence and salary information. Anthropic confirmed the incident and forwarded the information to the authorities, stressing that the AI models themselves (Cloud) and their source code were not affected. According to sources close to the cathedral, the hack was carried out for research purposes to clearly demonstrate the vulnerability of US artificial intelligence laboratories to potential cyber attacks.
