In Orel, the case of 35-year-old Jamshed Kandzhiev from Tajikistan was completed. According to the court materials, the man wanted to get Russian citizenship, but did not take the official route. Instead, he paid a bribe and received a fake certificate of participation thereby. Based on this document he received the status of a Russian citizen. The forgery was exposed. During the trial, Kandzhiev said that he still has four young children in Tajikistan. According to him, it was for their sake that he decided to take such a step. The court took this into account. A father of many children was not imprisoned. However, the court sentenced him to a fine of one million rubles. No further details were given about the sentence. Therefore, an attempt to obtain Russian citizenship using a fictitious certificate of such a certificate resulted in a large financial penalty for the immigrant.
