The Al Jazeera network is publishing this evening a rare document from the tunnels of Hamas: the discussions of the "General Military Council" forum in the military arm of Hamas (=their General Staff Forum), while they sat down to plan the October 7 attack and military operations underground.
All the members of the military council - the generals and the chiefs of staff - sit on the floor in two rows, on carpets.
The only one who got to sit on a bed at the head of the forum: Muhammad Daf, the head of the military arm.
All senior Hamas officials who appear in the documents - were killed by Israel during the war: Muhammad Daf, Raad Saad (inventor of the "Wall of Jericho" plan - 7.10 attack), Muhammad Shabana and Mohammed Sinwar (killed together in a tunnel under the European Hospital in Khan Yunis), Marwan Issa (Def's deputy), Ahmed Andor and Ayman Nofal (intellectuals who were killed at the beginning of the war), Rafe Salama (killed together with Daf), Ezz al-Din Al-Hadad (the head of the third military branch in the war who was also eliminated), Muhammad Odeh (the head of the fourth military branch in the war who was also eliminated), Hacham El-Isa, Ra'ad Thabat, Eazi Abu Tamaa and Bassem Issa (other senior Hamas officials). The photo was taken before May 2021 - because it shows Basem Issa, the Northern Gaza Brigade who was killed in the "Guardian of the Walls" operation.
