Joint statement to the IDF and Shin Bet spokesmen:

The security forces launched an operation to counter terrorism in the city of Hebron.

The forces of the IDF, the Shin Bet, the IOSH Special Forces and the Yehuda Military Command under the command of the Yehuda Brigade, launched an operation to counter terrorism in the area of the city of Hebron, from where the two terrorists who were killed in the encounter in which two IDF soldiers fell and others were injured earlier today (Friday) came out.

The forces have now begun to scan all the infrastructure in the area in a focused and thorough manner to locate and neutralize terrorist infrastructure and weapons, and to interrogate dozens of suspects.

The operation is focused and limited to the area from which the terrorists operated and will last for several days.

Starting from the beginning of the operation, the residents who live in the area of activity of the forces will be able to leave the area through three designated points after investigation and inspection.

Any person about whom suspicion arises during the inspection will be transferred to the security forces for investigation.

The operation is a direct continuation of a series of counter-terrorism offensive actions taken since this morning, including: mapping of the terrorists' homes, a crown in the Hebron and Halhol region, blockades and counter-terrorism activities in villages in the sector. In addition to the effort to design the space, within the framework of which illegal infrastructures that can pose a security risk in the space of the encounter are removed.

The security forces are currently operating at dozens of counter-terrorism targets throughout the Judea and Samaria sector, and will continue to act in attacks and initiatives for the purpose of defense, counter-terrorism and removing threats to the citizens of the State of Israel.
