Two hours before Yom Kippur: Ben Gvir brought up in the limited discussion the application of the death penalty to terrorists

Two hours before Yom Kippur, a limited discussion was held that dealt with the security situation in Judea and Samaria.

During the discussion, Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gabir brought up the issue of the death penalty for terrorists, and claimed that the current case is the first case that meets the criteria for applying the law.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed interest in the issue and asked for answers from IDF officials regarding the possibility of applying the law in the current case.

The police officer did not participate in the conversation. The IDF representatives who participated in the discussion said that from their point of view there is no obstacle.

As a result of this, it was decided that the reduced cabinet would hold another professional meeting on the subject, with the participation of the PKR, for the purpose of examining the continuation of the treatment and implementation.
