Joint statement to the IDF and Shin Bet spokesmen:
The IDF and the Shin Bet eliminated a terrorist from the military intelligence system and an engineering commander in the military arm of organization Hamas.
The IDF and the Shin Bet attacked on Tuesday (Saturday) in the Gaza City area in the southern Gaza Strip and killed Muhammad Halawa, a commander in the military intelligence unit of the military wing of organization Hamas.
In another attack last week (Thursday), the IDF attacked and killed Ahmed Zahir Fouad Abu-Oda, an engineering commander in the military arm of organization Hamas.
Throughout the war, and especially in recent times, the terrorists promoted acts of terrorism against the IDF forces and the citizens of the State of Israel and worked to restore the capabilities of organization Hamas, while systematically violating the ceasefire.
The terrorists were eliminated from the air in order to remove the threat they posed.
The security forces are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to act to remove any threat.
