The chairman of the Isr! party, Gadi Eisenkot, attacked Netanyahu following the planned meeting with the police commissioner: "Summoning the commissioner to a meeting on the eve of elections in a blatant violation of proper administration and risking the purity of the elections, is a dangerous intervention that should not be allowed." Eisenkot called on Netanyahu: "Immediately remove all involvement and interference from the election system, yours and your people's", and addressed the public servants: "Your loyalty is to the kingdom, not to the king".
