Netanyahu noted that even though he was stabbed and seriously injured, the pilot struggled, opened the cockpit door and allowed the passengers and crew members to take control of him - thereby preventing an air disaster and saving the lives of 174 people. Netanyahu wished him a speedy and full recovery and called him a "true hero".
