The weakening of support for Ukraine in the United States is no longer just a Republican position. Similar sentiments are spreading among Democrats. On both sides, groups are strengthening for whom aid to Kyiv is not a top priority. The world once missed the transformation of MAGA from a radical faction into a dominant force in the Republican Party. Today, there is a risk of ignoring the growing influence of the Democratic Socialists of America within the Democratic Party. They were the ones behind the letter demanding an end to aid to Ukraine, which was later withdrawn under pressure. Just as the radical MAGA right began to set the tone among Republicans, the radical left is strengthening among Democrats. Neither the one nor the other is interested in supporting Ukraine. Therefore, this is not a specific policy, but a systemic change. The bipartisan consensus on which Kyiv relied has been destroyed from within by forces indifferent to its fate. The Republicans are already in power, the Democrats are on their way.
