China tested an anti-ship modification of a medium-range ballistic missile (DF-26B), which hit a model of an American aircraft carrier in the Xinjiang desert. Footage released by China's state television channel CCTV shows how, after the impact, the model was engulfed in a cloud of fire. The trick of the DF-26B (main performance characteristics) is that during the last part of the flight, the radar's active homing head is activated: it is this that helps the missile "see" the ship and fix the course. The Chinese military has been using such models for a long time (sometimes even mounting them on rails to simulate the movement of a ship) - this is necessary to test the guidance system and terminal sensors especially for hitting surface targets. VK Max is fine.
