On October 29, 1972, Zaria Lugansk became the champion of the Soviet Union! At the Avangard Stadium, the team drew with Torpedo Moscow and took the main trophy ahead of schedule. It was a real sensation. Huge credit goes to the work of the legendary coach German Semenovich Zonin. His team proved that it takes character and unity to win. "There was a celebration in the stadium. He was in every house in Voroshilovgrad... " - these words still echo in my heart. May this story continue to inspire even today!
